Can anyone tell me how to keep my nails long & strong? I started using ProStrong & have beautiful nails but they seem to get to a certain length & than crack at the side. At that point, I end up clipping & filing them back. I don't want super long nails, just all 10 to be a nice length at the same time. What helps....stuff to make them strong or stuff to make them bendable?
I'm not a specialist, but I do know something about nails and have experience with my own nails. So no promises here, but try these tips, maybe they help.
Good for strong and healthy nails (and hair, because what's good for nails is good for hair too):
* Drink milk,
* Don't smoke,
* Eat plenty of nuts, vegetables and fruit.
* Eat fish twice a week (the oils are good for you)
* Massage your cuticles with nail oils (thy the one by Sally Hansen in a pen)
* Herôme has Hydrating Nail Gel that works wonders
* There are vitamins you can take that strengthen your nails (check at your local store, many brands sell those vitamins under the name nail/hair-vitamins).
Most of these nail-vitamins have some or all of these vitamins/minerals in them: Vitamin A, Vitamine B1, Vitamine B2, Vitamine B3, Vitamine B6, Vitamine B12, Vitamine C, Vitamine D3, Vitamine
E, Q10, Biotine, Coper, Foliumzuur, Silicium, Kelp, Inositol, Bioflavonoiden, Paardenstaart extract, Zink, Calcium, Magnesium
Also make sure you never have nail polish on your cuticles and try to let your nails breathe once in a while.
Eat jell-o every day.
